About Willow

Welcome to Willow

I trust you find Willow as warm and welcoming as my family did when we first arrived in May of 2012. Allow me a moment to share with you the heart of our church. Ultimately, it is our desire for all who call Willow their church family to grow more like Christ and draw others deeper in their relationship with Christ. You’ll often hear us summarize this mission as “disciples who make disciples” (Matthew 28: 18-20).

Please visit our Willow Connect page if you would like to find out more about Willow and how you can get connected.

We, at Willow Creek Baptist Church, are a vibrant and welcoming community that was established on October 7, 1984. Our church is located at 2387 Gill Road, Midhurst, ON L9X 0L2, Canada. Under the leadership of our Lead Pastor, Jay Sandiford, our mission is to foster growth in Christ and deepen relationships with Him. We wholeheartedly embrace the idea of disciples who make disciples.

As members of The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches, our core purpose revolves around following the way Jesus modeled discipleship. We place a strong emphasis on the Gospel Message that Jesus is the Lord and Saviour. Our desire is not only to be disciples of Christ ourselves but also to actively participate in the discipleship of others.

Unity in Christ through diverse gifting lies at the heart of our vision. We strongly believe in the use of individual spiritual gifts to build the church and guide disciples toward greater spiritual maturity. We encourage all our members to listen to Jesus' words and put them into practice. This is accomplished through daily communion with God and walking in community with fellow disciples.

At Willow Creek Baptist Church, we hold the Bible as the complete Word of God and the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice. We firmly acknowledge one God, the Creator of all, existing in three equal Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We also recognize the existence of Satan as an evil personality while affirming the absolute and essential deity of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Our belief is that salvation is by the sovereign, electing grace of God. Furthermore, we anticipate the personal, bodily, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ. In our practice, we regularly observe two ordinances from the New Testament: Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

We offer Sunday Services at 10:00 am, providing a meaningful worship experience for our congregation. Additionally, we have a variety of ministries tailored to different ages and stages of life, offering opportunities for our members to actively engage in our community.

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
